Hyaluronic acid for your hair
Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is a transparent, gel-like substance that is produced by the body itself. Hyaluronic acid is required by various parts of the body. In the connective tissues it provides the required elasticity, it lubricates the joints and makes the cartilage bendy.
What’s special about hyaluron is that it can store a large amount of water and can expand to 6000 times its size. This means that a gram of hyaluronic acid can store up to 6 litres of water.
Use
The properties of hyaluron benefit not only cosmetic surgery but also dermatology. We all know about hyaluron fillers to plump up the skin or hyaluron serums as a special skin care product.
Recently the acid has also been used in the hair care industry. So there are now shampoos, conditioners etc with hyaluronic acid.
Haircare
From a certain age (about 25), the body’s production of hyaluron is continually declining. But it is almost just as effective to supply the body with hyaluron from the outside. Shampoos with hyaluronic acid contribute effectively to ensuring that the hair is sufficiently moisturised. The viscosity of hyaluron makes hair easier to comb and smooths the hair structure without burdening it. It also injects water into the hair which makes it look fuller.
